Why AAML exists
Technology should make you more capable.
The best software doesn't replace the person using it. It gives them better tools.
We believe technology should help you understand more, make better decisions, accomplish more, and learn from what you do.
That means building software around people — not around features, trends, or the latest technology.
Machine learning can make software remarkably capable, but intelligence alone isn't the goal. What matters is whether that intelligence is genuinely useful to the person using it.
That's why we build focused tools for real problems, using technology where it makes a meaningful difference.
Privacy-first software
Intelligence without the tradeoff.
Intelligent software often comes with an expectation: create an account, send your information to a server, and trust someone else with your data.
We don't think that tradeoff should be automatic.
Whenever possible, AAML applications perform their intelligence directly on your device. Your writing, learning, activity, analysis, and other personal information shouldn't need to leave your hands simply because a feature uses machine learning.
On-device machine learning isn't a limitation we work around. It's part of how we design our software.

The hard part happens quietly.
Our apps are intentionally simple to use.
Underneath them, they may combine on-device machine learning, semantic retrieval, statistical analysis, intelligent automation, and purpose-built systems designed for the problem at hand.
But complexity isn't something the user should have to manage.
We believe the best technology often disappears into the experience. You shouldn't need to understand the machinery underneath a tool to benefit from what it can do.
